So the magical girl, along with a bunch of other lovely artwork, will be going on auction Sunday, April 17th (tentatively). It will be an ebay non-profit auction, with each artist deciding their particular percentage toward relief funds for Japan. The magical girl here will be 100 percent to charity, with free shipping! Once again, I'll update later with more info (link to the auction, etc.) In the meantime, spread the word!

So I've been invited to participate in an auction of artwork to benefit the victims of the recent earthquakes in Japan. The only guideline for the piece was what comes to mind when I think of Japan. Being a long time anime fan, of course that was the first thing that came to mind... And since it's the season for cherry blossoms, I decided on a cherry blossom themed magical girl (and her fat Japanese bobtail familiar). I've been watching vintage anime lately, so the magical girl has some 60s/70s inspiration.
